skip upgrading rpm database

when I use rpm to install a product, can I skip the lengthy step of "upgrading rom database"? thx |

Is it possible that you are using 'yum' for RPM updates? If so, then you can use the clean and makecache option (maybe from a crontab script) to keep the RPM database up to date. Then you will not have to wait for these when installing and upgrading your choice of packages. Linux Archive |
