Simple soft to view 3d projects.

I'm looking for simple soft to view 3d things like this:

- project and view masonry, brickwork

I depends on the draw similar things.
Display characteristics of subsequent layers.
To be able to count the required amount of material (bricks, wood, etc)

I heard about google sketchup. There is something else a native for linux?

There is Blender 2.7 .

there is also meshlab "MeshLabSrc_AllInc_v133"
http://sourceforge.net/projects/meshlab/

but these are not "Simple"
