Simple Samba issue

Ok, after some posts here and reading (alot of reading) docs, I have gotten my rh box seen on my network...but I have ran into another problem...according to Samba.org after everything is setup (samba and winbind) I should be able to run getent passwd and getent group and be able to view the user/group information for my domain...which I can. I was able to view the users/groups setup on both my samba box and my 2k adv srvr box. Which according to the doc means that everything "should" be setup correctly. And that I "should" be able to log in next time as a domain user using DOMAIN+username ...but I couldnt. Can anyone tell me if I misread or do I really have a problem? Also one last thing, logging in as a user setup for both RH and samba, I can "run" (by that you can tell that Im an old windows user) to smb:/PDC_NAME and view files...but I am unable to copy either to or from my PDC. It almost seems that I am not setup with read/write permissions within 2k....but when prmpted for a user/pass I enter my domain info....anyone else seen that b4?

Thanks!

*bump* thanks, but I tell you, service around here is worse than McDonalds on a Sunday morning. can I get a little help over here! Maybe I am offending the more knowledgable people?

Ok I am sorry if I offended anyone with either A) my username, or B) my previous post...I just find it hard to believe that no one else has run across this problem before, I mean really, 9 people replied to a post concerning "Neverwinter Nights" but no one can throw some assistance towards the particular Samba issue I have run into?
