simple program for displaying cpu load/temp?

Hello,

I've been searching the internet for an applet like xload that will tell me the realtime cpu load and temperature. The only reason I don't like xload is that it doesn't display in digits. I find it much easier if I can just see the exact temperature or load percent, whereas a histogram doesn't do much good to me.

Has anyone seen anything like this around?

Thanks,
Richie

You could always try GKrellM or what I use: Superkaramba. The theme that I use is here, but there are heaps around.

You need.... CONKY!

The screenshots on it's site are meant to impress but it's very easy to strip down to just showing the basics. An older screenshot of my current desktop, that's conky down the bottom. Very small and out of the way but still tells me what I want to know

Ooooh conky seems perfect. Black and white is all I need. Thanks for pointing it out!
