Simple games

I'm currently using Mandrake 8.1 and I am having some trouble trying to install a few games. The games do not contain the .rpm extensions. Are there any programs other than RPMDrake that will help me to install it.

What kind of files are they ? Or what are the extensions on them ? RPMDrake is usually only for RPM type files.

It is a straight source , is there a README or/and INSTALL files included? Is there a Makefile? Is there a configure file?
if there is configure and Makefile chances are good the following will work
make install

xpm = a picture
cc = c++ source code
hh = c++ header file

presumably you downloaded a source package. search this forum from a billion answers on how to compile sofware. alternatively try a linux book.

shame about the user name... never mind
