Similar problem, different issue.
One thing I'll give to Debian, the package management system is superb. Installing Tcl/TK straight off the CDs after an install was a no worry situation.
This doesn't seem to be so easy in RH9 though. I can't find the TCL/TK package. So I went to sourceforge, to install from there. Got two packages, one for tcl, one for tk.
Untarred them to my home directory. Then went to the unix directory of tcl, and typed ./configure
the makefile's sorted. I type make. It works fine. I type make install. No worries. TCL seems to be installed. I try tk.
It starts asking for certain files that aren't in the directory. In fact, they look like TCL files.
/home/karl/tk8.4.4/unix/tkunixport.h:224:20: tclInt.h: No such file or directory
make: *** [tk3d.o] Error 1 is produced as a result.
Any ideas? I'm fairly sure that I need tk to install properly to get wish, which I need to run AMSN. Any clues?
Cheers guys,
Karl.
