Silo: how to boot to cdrom

If I stop the SILO boot loader, can I enter a command to get it to reboot to a bootable CD?

I've been to the SILO website (http://www.sparc-boot.org/) which doesn't give me any insights.

The real problem is that I lost the root password to Suse linux 7.3 sparc ediiton, and I need to reinstall an OS. I was going to go back to solaris, so recovering the password isn't a big deal. But anyway, I can't boot to a CD from a user login, so I need some help.

All advice welcome.

Thanks,
Joe
