Could be a bios setting , I am currently tweaking a machine I have installed rh 9 on and I am also having cd rom problem though I still was able to install , I am just having trouble with rh 9 functioning along side my cd rom drive .
If I come up with a sure answer I will post it , And hope you would do the same
BTW , what's the model of your cd rom , mother board , ect.. for others to see and maybe have a config or info you can use .
