Showing Total RAM consumed even OS is in Ideal State


Hi,

I am using RHEL5.4. When system started its Showing all free memory. But after starting and stoping Oracle Database its showing All RAM consumed.
I have 16GB RAM.
At start up of Server it showing Near 14GB free RAM.
But after 1 or 2 days Its showing all RAM consumed when Checking With free -m
total used free shared buffers cached
Mem: 15989 15890 99 0 410 14728
-/+ buffers/cache: 751 15238
Swap: 16002 0 16002

[root@proderp ~]# vmstat -s | head -10
16373100 total memory
16279688 used memory
8986024 active memory
6987952 inactive memory
93412 free memory
420800 buffer memory
15089476 swap cache
16386260 total swap
4 used swap
16386256 free swap

Please help to resolve it.

Swap:        16002          0      16002
You are using 751mb and have 15,238mb free. 14,728 is being used as "cache" to improve the performance of your system. This cache will be cleared if the system needs it for something else.
