Shorthand or Autocomplete For Linux
Are there any programs out there that can complete this feature for me... Basically I want something that will allow me to begin typing something and it will Autoreplace it with whatever I want in just about any dialog box... Or java app typing box... So I could type /bowling and it would Replace that with an ASCII text of a Bowling wall... Kind of like ShortKeys or Shorthand For Windows from 2002... Any help would be great appreciated...

Here is a basic of what I'm talking about... You type /bowlingball And it will autoreplace something like... .............._,oooo._ ........_od8 8888888o. .....,o888' ,8888888888L. ...,8888888888888888888b. .d888"' `888" `88888888888. ,8888. ,888. ,88888888888b ]888888888888888888888888. `88888888888888888888888P ..Y8888888888888888888888' ...Y88888888888888888888' .....`88888888888888888P' .......`Y888888888888P' ...........`"YPPPPP"' Well something like that... |
I see what you mean now, it had me confused. Found a solution?
If the program could access and run scripts (ie command line) then you could simply copy that into said script and prefix each line with echo " ...and not forget the trailling quote at end of each line. |
