Why use Konqueror when you can use Firefox? In my days of Mandrake when I actually had KDE installed, I found Konqueror to be pretty repulsive and very bloated but it didn't seem to even have popup blocking.
Oh, that sucks. Well, I suppose I can't be of help to you right now. KDE seems to be very confusing so maybe a few hours of looking in the help file or in the menus might work out.
