Sharing Evolution Calendar

Is there a simple way to share my calendar information with friends so their calendar details also appear when scheduling meetings etc?

I can see in the calendar 'preferences' the ability to publish Free/Busy to a URL. But what does that do exactly? I do have access to a public IP where I could publish the Free/Busy. What do I set up as the URL for this - just the IP of the server?

Has anyone done this and got it to work?

Hmm, I am thinking of doing the same thing, as I have just installed Evolution. My guess is it will copy your calendar ( and with the right setup ) let others synchronize with it over the Internet using the ICal format. I mess with ICal using Sunbird last year, and you can access the calendar, update it, and sync to it over the Internet using software that has supports iCal.

Hope this helps.
