share the directory under windows as normal. You can then use smbmount to mount the share under Linux. Something like....
mount -t smbfs -o username=tridge,password=foobar //winmachine/share /some/local/directory

You need to mount the directory somwhere onto your linux filesystem, like /mnt/windows.
try:
mount -t smbfs -o username=yourusername,password=yourpassword //windowsID/shareddirectory /mnt/windows

Crowebert,
With samba on your linux system, your windows sytem will see the linux partition as a workgroup share. You can find it in networkniehborhood.
