Question share cpu time and reduce process load


In Linux, Is there any way where I could Share CPU time and cycles and reduce load average on processor

Share CPU time with what? If you want to reduce total load, you'll have to run fewer programs or run them more slowly.

using iostat i can know when the cpuis idle
i want to share the process load with vmstat

Have you tried decreasing the priority of your process using nice?
