Setup VNC on RH9

I see that in the services list there is VNC. Now i have that service started but the RH9 book and alot of online reading has not told me how to access it.
I do use it all the time on a windows box, i know it is ports 5800 and 5900 and i have the router pointing those to the lRH9 machine but i just cant seem to get anywhere at all.
ip:5800 doesnt work like a windows machine.
Does it support using remote tool within a browser like the win verison? or will i need the client?

If you are trying to access your RH box from Windows, you need to have vncserver running on the RH box and a vnc client running on the windows box. When you start vncserver, you will see it start on a particular window, usually :1 if there are no other instances of vncserver running. So from your windows box, point your vnc client to the ip address and window of the vncserver.

So lets say your RH computer is at ip address 192.168.1.100 and vncserver is running on :1. You would try to connect to 192.168.1.100:1, NOT 192.168.1.100:5901
