Unless you're needing a large number of connections, I'd *very* strongly suggest you use the standard free version of NX from nomachine.org, this has default preinstalled SSH keys meaning you won't have issues with authentication within the tool itself. It can't stop you getting your password wrong of course.
If you do need to go further with FreeNX for some reason, you need to provide a LOT more information that a one liner. Log files are there for a reason.
