setting up vnc for the root server

I'm having some trouble setting up vnc on the X:0 terminal side. I've gotten to work successfully for virtual terminals but I'd like to get control of the X:0 desktop.

According to www.realvnc.com, I copy the provided vnc.so to /usr/X11R6/lib/modules/extensions/vnc.so then load it in XF86Config

I cannot find XF86Config. I'm sure it's just a file with another name. I'm running Fedora 2. Does anyone know which file I need to edit to load vnc.so?
