Setting up SpamAssassin with POSTFIX

I'm new to POSTFIX but I have it working great and all our email address are working. I need to setup a SPAM filter and I have SpamAssassin installed. By the sounds of it, it should work fine for what I want to do. I just need it to look for certain words and block the email if that word is contained. Or setup SpamAssassin to put "[SPAM]" in the subject of the email.

I need help setuping up POSTFIX to work with SpamAssassin. I tried looking up tutorials but many go to indepth for what I need (at least I think). I don't really want to get into installing some new programs because I'm still fairly new to this and I don't want to screw up our webserver.

Does anyone know how to get POSTFIX to work with SpamAssassin? What do I need to add to the file to check the incoming emails with SpamAssassin? also, how do I configure SpamAssassin to check for keywords and block the email?

Thanks in advance for your help!

I would recommend looking into using amavisd-new to use as the glue to tie Postfix and Spamassassin together..

Theres a LOT of how-to's linked from the postfix site on many many different configurations. I would recommend finding one that is based on your particular distribution of linux and your particular goals for functionalitly and starting from there. do the buiold on a spare PC and test it before integrating the new functionality into your existing mail server.

I am currently working from this one. -
Debian Stable
Courier POP3 / IMAP / Webmail
Virtual Users hosted in MySQL

And then I will add in Vacation to allow users to set away messages.

There are quite a few settings in Postfix alone for blocking spam and specific attachments. so you may want to look into the UCE functions of Postfix as well since they are less CPU intensive than Spamassassin.
