Please? I need help, I want to set up Rivendell Radio automation, and it first got stuck at the mySQL/Mariadb installation and after I got that working and set up a root account in mySQL, I am stuck again but now at the start of:
[henk@henk ~]$ sudo rdadmin
QSqlDatabase: QMYSQL3 driver not loaded
QSqlDatabase: available drivers: (null)
It opens mySQL and prompts for username and password and closes.
The MySQL/MariaDB passwords are separate and distinct from the passwords of system root and users. Have you created a root password, plus a Rivendell database user and password and a database for Rivendell to use? It sounds as if you haven't.
I did create a mysql root user and password but did not yet create a rivendell database. I'm not sure how to do that, any help as to where find info on how to create a database to use with rdadmin. thanx
Sorry about earlier ! I did set a password for root of mysql an also created a rivendell database
but to no prevail. RDADMIN is still telling the same:
[root@henk ~]# rdadmin
QSqlDatabase: QMYSQL3 driver not loaded
QSqlDatabase: available drivers: (null)
Unfortunately, I have no experience with QSqlDatabase. I fear I can't help much with it.
If it is compatible with phpMyAdmin, you can log into phpMyAdmin and create a database through its interface. They seem to have a pretty good Wiki at their site, though.
