setting up pop3 with postfix

hello,
i have postfix installed, seems to be working fine. i also have a pop3 daemon installed, which also seems to be working fine (vm-pop3d). however, the two will not work together. i can't seem to get postfix to deliver the mail correctly. my mail directories are in the format "/var/mail/virtual/website.com/username", and i followed a tutorial at http://cagelink.com/~tjr/postfix/ which didn't seem to work. i'm running mandrake 8.2 if that makes a difference.

thanks,
brendan
