setting up, need recommendations for j2ee

I had a search of the forum, but couldn't find this information so don't bag me out if it's there.

I am just setting up my linux box, I've decided to embrace open source. What software packages should I set up for an optimal open source j2ee development box? e.g Tomcat, Jboss, Apache etc...

How do they all fit together, for instance if I have JBoss, do I need Tomcat, do I need Apache etc?

thanks for the help, this forum is very good.

as far as i know the j2ee comes with everything included. application container, will have a rich documentation.i dont think u need tomcat. of course u can work with tomcat too. u may have a look jwsdp (javawebservicesdevelopmentkit) at sun's site. it includes tomcat, ant, tutorials and so on, everything to get u started with webservices.
very complete set and as usual a bit boring...but...
u dont need apache.
good luck,
