setting up a web server using mandrake 9.0

I am trying to install mandrake 9.0 as a server and I can not find it in the control panel

You probably didn't install the web server package then.

however, you can add the web server group, probably using software configuration.

You'd probably be better off installing/building from apache source. Its a pretty painless install. Check out http://httpd.apache.org.

If you need help building it, let me know.
