Setting selection causes VBox to Close

I am running Fedora 14 with VBox 4.0.0. I have XP and Ubuntu 10.10 setup and running.

When I choose the "Settings", with XP/Ubuntu powered off, either from the menu or the icon, there is a slight delay then VBox closes.

Is this a known problem, if so I can't find any reference to it or am I missing something in the setup of VBox?

I have previously used VBox under Fedora 12 with no problems.

Thanks,
John

If you run VirtualBox from the command line, it may print out a message letting you know why it's crashing.
Code:
$ VirtualBox

Well I'm getting a segmentation fault.
Code:
[john@USSVanderbilt ~]$ VirtualBox
Segmentation fault
[john@USSVanderbilt ~]$
I'll post this to Virtualbox.org.

"Segmentation fault" means that the program tried to write to memory that it has not allocated for itself.

That's too general to really say what's wrong.

I have found that this problem has been reported on 12/25 to VirtualBox.org, #7912.
There is a work around, it is to use the right hand details to get to the settings. I've tried it and it does work.
