Setting fonts for Gnome app in KDE

Hi.

I am planning on running Evolution under KDE. Evolution being a non-KDE application, its font settings do not reflect those of KDE. I logged on using GNOME and set the font to match the one used by KDE. I ran Evolution within GNOME and was able to see the new font used for its menu items.

However, once I log out and back in using KDE this time, Evolution does not use the new font anymore. It defaults back to what font it used to use before I changed it under GNOME.

So how can I change the font settings of a GNOME application so they will persist inside or outside GNOME?

Thanks,
Dai

Create a file in your home directory named .gktrc-2.0 with the following line in it

Code:
gtk-font-name = "Verdana 11"
GTK2 apps should now use the font specified

or you could use an application like gtk-qt-engine http://www.freedesktop.org/wiki/Software/gtk-qt , which will set this file up for you and a while lot more.
