setting font for subtitles @ ACIDRIP

Hello,

how tha fuck can I set a font for subtitles in Acidrip? I compiled mplayer and acidrip successfull, copied "arial.ttf" to ~/.mplayer/subfont.ttf.

But the font for subtitle still isn't well readable. Yes, you can read it, but it's a damn font. Where have I gotto set a parameter to make arial.ttf the font used for subtitles by acidrip?
Thanks for all advises.

I would like to set this font statically, ...but how and where?

hehe.. he means ask me to help....

i've neevr looked at fonts for subtitles... if mplayer can do it, then so can acidrip, but you'd need to look at the mplayer manpage for details. any options you end up uising, add to the "misc options" box in acidrip

Acidrip already used arial before, it was just too blur to read.

I changed the parameter "blur" in the file /~/.mplayer/font/font.desc as following:
  • [info]
name 'Subtitle font for iso-8859-1 encoding, "Arial Regular" face, size: 18.0 pixels, blur: 5.5, outline: 1.5'
    descversion 1
    spacewidth 13
    charspace -8
    height 21
Before, blur was set to 1.5.

Now it's easy to read the subtitles.
