Setting firefox to use non-passive ftp transfers

Does anyone know how to set up Firefox to use active ftp? The default is passive and it won't work through my company firewall. Active (or non-passive) FTP works manually, but it's a pain to do every time I need to get a new rpm, driver, or file.

Thanks,
AC

Are you using FireFTP extension for this? If so, you can edit the account settings and uncheck the box "Use Passive Mode"...

I tried that and it did not work. Furthermore, it did not seem to allow the default to be "non-passive" mode. so I would have to set up an account for every site I ever ftp from.

In some cases, I'm just there to test an rpm or driver and may not ever be back. I'll dig a little deeper though, I just discovered the FireFTP extension today.

Thanks,
AC
