Actually all you really need is a background set-app wrapper that supports transparency much like: feh, Esetroot, wmsetbg, xsri or chbg

once you have either of these installed on your system, you can easily get transparency with bsetbg as well as it'll check your system for a working background set-app and use that

all he needs to do is edit that bsetbg file that i posted before and have it configured for what ever wrapper retiredsoldier was talking about. all he has to do is go to .fluxbox/ and check to see if that file is already in there, if it is, just make sure w/e needs to be commented is commented, and what ever shouldn't be isn't.
