Question Set a minimum font-size in Gaim?

I know you can change Gaim-specific things in your ~/.gtkrc files, such as removing the unnecessary indent on the buddy list, as follows:

Code:
style "my-narrow-tree" {
        GtkTreeView::expander_size = 0
}

widget "*gaim_gtkblist_treeview" style "my-narrow-tree"
Being that this is possible, has anyone figured out a way to set a minimum font-size for Gaim? The reason I ask is because I have the "Ignore font size" option turned on in Gaim, due to the insanely small fonts used by some of the people I talk to. While turning this option on solves this problem, it also creates one; I cannot view large, emphasized text. Every now and then, someone sends me something written in a large font-size to get a point across or something, and due to me ignoring sizes, I miss it completely.

Judging my the syntax of the gtkrc snipet above, it seems possible to do what I want, granted that there is a way to set a minimum GTK font-size in the first place. If there is a way to do it, then all that would need to be done is for me to use it just for Gaim conversations.

Any help or ideas are GREATLY appreciated!

Thanks

Try adjusting it in Gnome Control Center (gnome-control-center). If you are using the Gnome desktop this should work. If you are using another desktop or window manager then you will have to run gnome-control-center in order for the settings to take effect in Gnome applications.
