Seriously Need Help!
I've just installed SuSE 9.1 on my pc. I've tried to install Microsoft Word on it and eventhought its a setup exe file, its asking me what to use to open it. How do i run exe files? if i don't resolve this soon, i'm going back to windows as i need to have a pc working for school work. I am writing this message on another pc at a friends house.
Anyone please give help a.s.p.
Many Thanks,
David.

You can't run exe files in linux. There are two solutions, one is wine which makes it possible to use windows files in linux. Or you can try OpenOffice.org or StarOffice (since you're a student you can get a free education version)

My solution, find an alternative that is already loaded with Suse. If your only installing Suse or Linux to then install MS Office and other Windows programs, what's the point? Might as well just keep an existing install of Windows around.
