no, worth a shot though. It's in a physical port though - /dev/ttyS0 is supposed to point at the first serial port ... that's where the modem is plugged in.
As for not supporting dial-up ... it'd be pretty stupid if they didn't!
Especially since they have included various modem related tools ... I suspect that may be the case though.
