Sendmail with Thunderbird?

Hello-

I would like to be able to use sendmail with Mozilla Thunderbird. Is this possible at all?
I like sending email messages to people, with them comming up as jim@goldeneye.badger.
My sendmail has no special configuration yet, but soon I'm going to figure out how pop3d
and procmail work, to try and make a mail server.

Change the "From:" header field in Thunderbird and send through your ISP's mail server. You'll want to set the "Reply-To:" header to something useful if you want a response though ... .badger isn't a valid TLD

I got it.
All I did was added an smtp server, with my computer's hostname as the hostname.

Unless your computer's IP is static and has a valid reverse DNS entry for what your SMTP server sends in it's HELO/EHLO, expect a *lot* of rejected mail.
