This is my third post (others no reply), don't know what I'm missing and if anyone can tell me what stupid thing I'm overlooking I'd appreciate it, even a link to a useful (well written) walkthru or trouble shooting guide that a noob can comprehend would help a lot.

How do I change the outgoing address for emails?
The php script that sends the email puts the email address entered by the submitting person as the from header but the email doesn't get sent that way.
The email bounces from zone edit and
apache@localhost.localdomain is the email address rejected, not the one put in the form.
Relay is on for localhost and loopback in access, masquerading is on, apache is a trusted user.
target domain is in relay, in outgoing, tried address mapping, domain routing. I've spent tons of time reading and searching but still can't fix it.
