sendmail - specify server

hi..how do i specify our Microsoft Exchange server on our Redhat hox. On our newer redhat boxes, I changed the field 'FEATURE(`msp', `[exchange-mailserver]')dnl' in the file /etc/mail/submit.mc but in the older version of Redhat and i'm assuming sendmail, it doesnt have this file. I added 'exchange-mailserver' to /etc/hosts and specified it as the mailhost. Is there any other files like sendmail config files, that I need to edit, and to specify the Exchange server. Any help would be much appreciated. Cheers.

I'm not sure that I totally understand your question but I'll try. First some questions though: 1) Are you using your sendmail machine as an internal server and then have it transfer the mail to the exchange server? 2) What version of redhat are you running? Please advise on these questions and then maybe I can better assist. Thanks!

i found the problem..it was the smart relay host which i set to the name of the exchange server and then put an entry into /etc/hosts. Much appreciate your assistance though. Cheers!
