sendmail problem

have RHEL server and use "sendmail" to send out mail via the ISP mail server , can advise how can I config the server ( eg. SMTP ) so that I can send outgoing mail ?
for example , how can I use "sendmail mymail@domanin.com" to outside email address ? thx

if sendmail is running it allows you to send messages by default to any domain.

Quote:

chkconfig --list sendmail
service sendmail status

these will give you a idea on whether it is running or not.

the sendmail is started , can advise what configuration eg. /etc/mail/sendmail.* I need to make ? thx.

what exactly are you trying to do here?
do you want people to have access to your smtp server ?
