sendmail problem

hey all, ive got a problem with sendmail which is driving me CRAZY!

ive made a lil php mailing list sitting on a mdk 9.2 box running apache , php and the cursed sendmail!

ive used webmin to configure sendmail and in sendmail options ive told sendmail to send outgoing mail via smtp.blah.blah which is my companies smtp server

everything seems to work ok sendmail starts fine, the script works fine, but no mail is ever recieved by the users i know the code works so that isnt an issue. I checked the sendmail logs nothing in error's so i checked the info log which showed me this

Nov 25 12:39:19 mdk sendmail[8465] : hAPCdJtC008465: from=apache, size=146, class=0, nrcpts=0, msgid=<long number thing@hostname>, relay=apache@localhost

there was quite a few of them, now from my limited experience of working with sendmail i know there should be another entry for that mail id basically saying the destination email address and say something like message accepted for delivery, but there aint none!

something else i noticed is the nrcpts=0 which if i remember correctly means number of recipieants so its saying theres no recipeants?

if anyone has any advice i would be so grateful

many thanks

probably sendmail is not listening on smtp port.
you have to set DaemonPortOptions in your file in /etc/mail or just /etc

here's how i did it: just add the following two lines in

O DaemonPortOptions=Port=smtp,Addr=,Name=MTA
O DaemonPortOptions=Port=smtp,Addr=,Name=MLA

comment any previous "O DaemonPortOptions" lines with a hash(#). is your server ip, change it to whatever u have.

restart sendmail to apply new settings.
this should work..
have fun
