sendmail dialup on demand RH9

Hi All,

I have set-up sendmail to send via dialup to my isp.
i'm looking for some info on dialup on demand. i have looked at some HOWTOs but i do not find them very clear.

If i do a manual dialup to my isp, then send a mail to the server and flush the que my mail is sent. If the modem is inactive a get a message no route - in webmin

What i'm looking for is if the mail has been sitting in the que for say 5mins it will auto dail and send it, would be nice to collect mail at the same time. the last thing is if the line is inactive for say 1min the modem disconnects.

anyone know a good HOWTO on this or some pointers.

Well I'm making my way through this.

I have set-up a script to auto dial then flush the sendmail que, then run fetchmail for collection. seems to be working well.

If someone has a better way, please let me know
