Sendmail, Connection time out with... but mail was delivered

Hello,

I've got some problems with sendmail. The problem is that sendmail tries to sendmail to some host and in maillog
-----
Oct 17 14:11:28 ns sendmail[9396]: h9H9r6c9009391: to=<someuser@somedomain>, ctladdr=<someuser@localdomain> (6116/600), delay=00:18:22, xdelay=00:18:22, mailer=esmtp, pri=30467, relay=somedomain. [xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx], dsn=4.0.0, stat=Deferred: Connection timed out with somedomain.
-----
On the other side the receipt gets mail. Finally after 2 days tries a message is sent with status Ok.

But other side receives about 5 to 50 letters.

Why it happens?

In sendmail.cf file I made some changes to timeouts... will it help - I don't know.

Does anybody meet the same problem and already solved?
