sendmail and pop3 login aliasing

I am setting up a virtual hosting system without a control panel on RedHat Enterprise 3.

I got both sendmail and xinetd/pop3 to work. I can send and receive email on all domains. The problem is that to authenticate sendmail and pop3 the user must know the local user I created for his mail box. I want to use the full email address as the login.

For example. I created:

john@domain1.com -> john001
john@domain2.com -> john002

To send and receive email on this accounts, the users must use john001 and john002 as login for both outgoing and incoming authentication. I want it to use the full email as login. How do I do that?
