sendmail 550 5.1.1. unknown user

I am trying to set up Sendmail to allow authorized users to send email to any email address. Currently, I can send email between authorized users.

What settings do I need to use to allow authorized users to send email to any user/address?

The Linux home networking site has a great chapter devoted to sendmail (chap. 21 I think). Check it out.

Thanks for the reply! I had read through several posts just like the one you sent a link for. Somehow reading through it all again I came across what my problem was. My m4 file was set to blacklist recipients by default which would only let me send to local users. I commented that line out and all works fine.
