segmentation fault with groupadd


Hi ,
I am getting a segmentation fault errors doing a groupadd in SuSE linux 9. I can however run useradd successfully, any pointers ?

wpp2-p:/ # groupadd test
Segmentation fault
wpp2-p:/ # uname -a
Linux wcp2-p 2.6.5-7.97-bigsmp #1 SMP Fri Jul 2 14:21:59 UTC 2004 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux

Check the integrity of your groups file with the 'grpck' command. This type of problem usually occurs after the file has been manually edited. You can also apply maintenance to make sure that any bugs have been addressed.
