IIRC it's the opening movie. Spose you didn't install it properly, check your paths in ~/.loki/ut/System/Unrealtournament.ini.

You need to copy over and decompress the maps from the CD to the dir you installed UT to. I donbt remember how i did this, but another easy solution is to reinstall to the same location. It usually fixes this problem.

uncompression and ucc

I don't think the opening map is uncompressed. you need to do a bit of googling for a program called "ucc" (on the disk/from loki, im' not sure which) and "unreal tournament Linux" of course. That should get you a howto and some hints. come back if you get it, or you need more help.

search for howto

Search this site or google for the linux Unreal Tournament howto. it has a script and some ideas. It's my mantra - google is your friend, google is your friend. keep trying - you'll get it. Just don't give up.

I got it running. How? I made symlinks in the Texture directory, the Maps dir. and the Music dir. like so:

ln -s CITY.UTX city.utx

It seems UT is kinda case-sensitive
