Segmentation Fault

After using the fdisk utility provided in Slackware for creating a new partition, I get a segmentation fault. Any ideas why this is happening and the possible solution?

Thanks in advance.

First geuss: the partitions you created are either invalid, or you overwrote system partitions. Fdisk is a very low-level program. It will allow you to do all kinds of things with your drive, but if you forget to set the partition type or things like that, it will not warn you.

Post more info. as to how you partitioned, what type of partitions, when and where the segfault occurs, etc.

yeah, i would try to rewrite your partition table then try a reboot after writing to the table which might help...
