Seeking 2D to 3D conversion software

Greetings, is there a program that recreates real movies and turns them into a realistic 3D Graphic movie?

Not possible because a 3D movie is created by filming with stereoscopic lenses, or rendering it in a stereoscopic form. Therefore a film created from a two dimensional of view cannot then be accurately split to become 3D without making up information to fill in those gaps.

The software would potentially have to intelligently pay attention to all objects and use various aspect angles of those objects to interpolate the data which would make for a 3D rendering of that object. This would presume that these aspect angles were available in the first place. For instance, if an object does not show all 360 degrees of the view of it, then no data can be known to illustrate what is in the non-shown parts of it.

I'm thinking more the case would be a film editor application where an operator of it could select objects they wish to render in 3D where their artistic talents were employed to accomplish the task.

Actually, it is possible and software for that does exist, according to Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2D_to_3D_conversion
How automatic that is and if it creates realistic movies, I don't know.

By the way, MaJeStIc_WaRrIoR, please use meaningful titles for your questions.

Yeah, sorry about that. I just didn't know what to name it. Btw, thanks to both of you for answering my question.
