Question security level problems

OK, let me just start off saying I am very new to linux. I have been playing around with it for a couple of days now. I'm running Red Hat 8.0 in a gnome environment. My problem is that every time I change settigns in the linux firewall (/system settings/security level) they revert back to high. I am trying to setup a teamspeak server and need to forward a port. Any info you could offer would be greatly appreciated.

rpm -qa | grep iptables

here's a more flexible way to do your firewall which you might like:
