SDL_image for both x86 & x86_64 architectures

Hello everyone.
I'm having trouble to have both the 32-bit and 64-bit versions of SDL_image on my SuSE 10.0 64-bit computer. I have tried to remove the 64bit one and installing the 32bit one first and then adding the 64bit one after but it seems that those two versions are incompatible. Well the 64bit version removes the 32bit one. The reason why I need both is for apps requiring SDL_image 32bit and apps requiring SDL_image 64bit, namely games. Sauerbraten (being 32bit) requires a 32bit SDL_image library and some of the other apps & games on SuSE requires the 64bit version.

What can I do?

Thanks

Install both matching versions at the same time, maybe with both present in the same location type something like;

rpm -Uvh SDL*.rpm

$ rpm -qa --qf="%{n}-%{v}-%{r}.%{arch}.rpm\n" 'SDL*'
SDL-1.2.10-9.i386.rpm
SDL-1.2.10-9.x86_64.rpm
