scype in mandriva 2006

when I was installing LINUX I saw this splash screen talking about being the scype program for calling people alover the world etc. but now I can't seem to find it.
I've tried looking thru the package manager and searching avalable packages and files on my computer, but no luck.

does anyone out there know anything about the skype in mandriva 2006?

thanks for your time

whereis skype

It's called skype, maybe why you couldnt find it, there are better implimentations in linux such as gizmo and ekiga (but they work on SIP) Skype is only free PC to PC, it costs (alot less than usual rates) to call over a public telephone network

or yo ucan use urpmi for it?
