Exclamation

I want to install a zip zoom scsi accelerator card in my linux box. I have only JUST setup the box, 2 weeks ago, as a secondary DNS for my local network. It is running RH7.0 server, and I have got everything running correctly (as far as I know). The question I have is after physically installing the HW what do I do? Does linux have PNP? Will I need to find linux drivers for it? If so how do I install them? Can I get them in RPM format, or will they be tar'ed? Will I need to recompile the kernel? Would it be easier to reinstall from scratch, run up2date, and reconfigure DNS (I've now done it 3 times in a one week period)?

I know alot of these questions are vague and general, but I have just finally started to "play" with linux/unix (getting tired of rebooting regularly) and don't really know where to go w/ this one.

Thanx in advance for ANY info,
INS aka Henry

You should just be able to install and let linux find it for you, though it depends on which version you have if it will automatically. I really only know Red Hat myself (though I just got Solaris 8 and am DYING to install it on something!), but RH does have Kudzu, which should find and install almost anything you add for you without too much trouble.
