Screensaver Blank
Hi, I would like to set the screensaver for a specific user account to blank (instead of the default random screensaver). Is there a file I can change to set the screensaver to blank? Or is there a . file I could add to the user account?
Thank you!

Sure, most screensavers will have that option. In KDE, there is an option of 'Blank Screen' along all the others (Control Center-> Appearance -> Screensaver). If you run xscreensaver, configure it by running xscreensaver-demo. In Gnome, I'm not really sure at the moment. Probably similar to KDE, just one of the options you get from Screensaver entry on the menu.

thank you for your reply. I don't want to change it from the menu. I want to write a script that would change the screensaver option, along with other settings....is there a file i can change or add?
thank you!

I see... well, for KDE this would be ~/.kde/share/config/kdesktoprc
But if you're not after KDE screensaver, better tell us which one you actually want!
Edit:
for xscreensaver, I'm pretty sure it's just ~/.xscreensaver
For Gnome, as usual I've no idea. Doesn't Gnome just use xscreensaver anyway?
