screensaver as root window on startup

So in Fluxbox, If I load up fluxbox and type in "usr/X11R6/lib/xscreensaver/flurry -root", the screensaver in the root windows loads up just fine. If I try to add the command to my xinitrc.fbox file, and I put it in before the exec fluxbox, it doesnt show up (possibly hidden), and if I put it after exec fluxbox, all I can see if the screensaver.

How can I have the screensaver -root startup and run correctly when I load fluxbox (or just X server if thats easier)?

I use GDM right now to start WMs(its so perty).

Thanks.

Not sure, but it's a stab at an answer at least - are you putting an '&' at the end when you put it in before flux?

Probably totally wrong, but no more wrong than any other post so far. ;)

I don't even use flux and always use a blank gray root in blackbox when I have that, so I really don't know what I'm talking about.

LOL. That was the problem. Putting the "&" command worked great. Stooped me. :D

Thanks.
