SCIM Problem

Hi,

I am sure this problem has been discussed many times here, but I'm having problem loading SCIM on my laptop. I am running XFCE4 on Slackware 10.2. I installed SCIM with Anthy, and .xsession-errors tells me that SCIM has loaded successfully, yet I don't get anything.

Here's the output of .xsession-errors
Code:
stderr is not a tty - where are you?
Agent pid 4040

Bah.. I solved it. I needed to set my LC_CTYPE environment, i.e.
Code:
export LC_CTYPE="ja_JP.utf8"
That was all.

However, when I tried using amsn, I can't type anything (no keystroke does anything). I don't think this is amsn problem, but Tk problem with SCIM. Does anyone have the same type of problem? Have any solutions to this? Thanks!
